Businesses can get some really great results from blogging consistently. If you’re going to put in the effort to write, publish and schedule blog posts, then you need them to be optimized for conversions.

An Email Opt-in
EVERY blog post should have a form where your readers can opt-in to get onto your email list. This is especially important since the conversion rates for email marketing is so high. You don’t have to create a different content upgrade/freebie for each blog post, but try to tailor your content upgrade and your blog niche to your target audience.
This is a great way to catch readers before they are about to leave. You can feature related posts at the end of blog posts, or if you have a blog sidebar, this is a great spot to put related posts or related categories. Another effective way to add related posts is to add them throughout the text of your post. It is an easy way to highlight their relevance of each post.
Platform-Optimized Images
Make sure your images are following the platform’s suggested sizing. It’s especially important because each platform favors a particular sizing format. Instagram is all about square images, Facebook prefers images that are more of a 2/3 ration horizontally and Pinterest prefers the 3/2 ration vertically. Don’t forget to include a “Pin It!” button to your images to encourage people to Pin them!
Share Buttons
You want to make your content easily shareable across various platforms, even if you are not exactly focusing on any given platform. Your viewers may have a preference for one platform over another, so it helps expand your reach if you make it accessible.
A Strong Call-To-Action
You want to persuade your viewers to make a purchase directly on the website, so make sure you include a compelling call to action. Literally tell them what you want them to do… “Add To Cart”, “Buy Now”, etc.
SEO Techniques
Don’t forget SEO. Use relevant keywords and utilize your SEO plugins to easily fill out the data search engines like to see.
